The eighth edition of the UNEP-led WASP-supported Adaptation Gap Report: Underfinanced. Underprepared. Inadequate investment and planning on climate adaptation leaves world exposed was launched today in a virtual press conference.
The event involved a technical presentation on key messages by the Chief Editor of the Adaptation Gap Report Henry Neufeldt, and a high-level panel discussion and Q&A, including UNEP's Executive Director Inger Andersen, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Ibrahim Thiaw, and the Chief of Risk Knowledge, Monitoring and Capacity-Development at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Loretta Hieber Girardet.
